You can't just look at visual poetry. You have to jump in. Get close. Be a part of it. Visual poetry constantly evolves. From its first influence by Fluxus, it has transitioned into a variety of elements where text and images merge into a single component. It is a relationship of wordplay using natural rhythms of poetic expression with sometimes unidentifiable shapes and forms. Words dance across a page. Colors play the harmonica. At times, words appear minimal. At others, they take center stage. On their own, the elements seem bland but together they create a viewing experience where nothing is limited by the imagination.
Go ahead. Get closer. Keep looking.
